Job description
DEVICOM is looking for an intermediate-level technical analyst specializing in IP telephony to participate in IP telephony projects and address service tickets from clients in this area.
Specifically, the individual will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of telephony solutions for clients. Depending on the needs, ranging from performance optimization to troubleshooting issues, they will identify solutions and ensure their application. The analyst will use the company's pre-established tools and documents, ensuring that information is kept up to date and maintained. Please note that this position requires regular travel to client locations.
Functions
Provide remote support to users via phone or other means
Visit clients to validate deployment needs for unified communications and its integration with existing systems
Prepare equipment for installation
Participate in the integration of IP telephony at the client's site, ensure its implementation, and address technical requests to guarantee effective integration with existing infrastructures
Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks for Cisco IP phone systems
Write technical reports related to the scope of activities
Train and assist clients in adopting the deployed solutions
Skills and desired experience
Strong customer service approach
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT support for users, and at least 3 years as an IP technician in a business environment
Hold a college diploma or certificate in computer science, or equivalent relevant experience
Strong command of French and English (oral and written)
Own a car and hold a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of Linux server administration, as well as FreePBX and Asterisk
Knowledge of TCP/IP network management (switches, routers)
Intermediate knowledge in IP telephony systems management
Assets: Microsoft certification, CCNA, or equivalent, or certification/training in TCP/IP networks; familiarity with SANGOMA technologies and Microsoft TEAMS IP telephony
